Separate three questions: how the scale measures weight, which results appear without opening an app, and which body-composition estimates you actually want to follow. A long metric list is not evidence of clinical accuracy. This guide compares the five existing offers without the earlier “gym-level precision” claims.

A 2021 observational study in JMIR mHealth and uHealth found that the three smart scales it examined were much better at measuring total weight than body composition and should not replace clinical body-composition assessment. Those were not all the models listed here; the study is a reason for caution, not a measured accuracy ranking of this shortlist. Treat fat, muscle and related estimates as estimates, not diagnoses.

RENPHO’s Elis 2X page describes a 5-inch VA display, Bluetooth and a 400 lb/180 kg maximum for its reference model. The previous article also repeated a 550 lb retail claim. That unresolved difference is why we no longer present 550 lb as a verified limit.
A handle-free design may suit a quick weigh-in routine. Before ordering, confirm the exact model label and load limit, which metrics appear on the platform and which require the app. If you need a higher capacity, do not assume the larger number is correct.
2. RENPHO MorphoScan Nova
The MorphoScan Nova manufacturer page describes eight-electrode measurement and segmental results. A handle creates a different measurement routine from stepping onto a simple platform, and its display can be easier to read without looking down.
Compare it if you want that interface and are willing to follow its positioning instructions consistently. We have not independently validated the segmental estimates. Do not interpret a change in a single limb reading as proof of muscle gain or fat loss.
3. arboleaf eight-electrode scale: ASIN B0H2Z199N8
The existing destination identifies an arboleaf eight-electrode, dual-frequency offer. That distinguishes it from a basic weight-only scale, but the precise model code and supported app functions still need confirmation.
Before comparing it with MorphoScan Nova, establish where its display sits, how the handle is stored and whether results can be exported. We have removed the claim that it provides gym-level precision: no independent test of this exact offer was established.
4. Etekcity smart scale: ASIN B09HCJD6H1
The checked B09HCJD6H1 retailer title describes body-weight and body-fat functions. The former silver ESB4074C weight/BMI-only heading and its 440 lb specification were not a reliable match, so they have been removed. Etekcity’s HR Smart Fitness Scale page shows why its models must be distinguished.
Use the ASIN and model label to establish the actual product before buying. Confirm the display, VeSync requirements, connectivity and capacity for that model. We do not transfer the reference HR model’s specifications to an unidentified offer merely because the brand is the same.
5. arboleaf eight-electrode scale: ASIN B0GKMC6RMV
This second arboleaf destination has a different ASIN and is listed as an eight-electrode body-composition analyzer. Similar metric counts do not prove that its screen, handle, charging method or platform size matches the other arboleaf entry.
Compare the two only after identifying both model numbers. If the seller cannot provide a manual, load limit and clear photographs of the included hardware, the lower price is not enough information to decide. No independent accuracy or durability test is claimed for either.
Check suitability and data controls
Read the exact device’s warnings before using electrical body-composition measurement. For example, arboleaf’s warnings say not to use its scales with implanted medical devices or during pregnancy. Do not assume an app’s weight-only setting makes every model suitable; ask your clinician and the manufacturer when relevant.
For shared use, check profile separation, account requirements, export options and deletion controls before connecting health apps. Use the manufacturer’s placement and measurement instructions consistently. For a purchase decision, capacity, readability and a usable history can matter more than dozens of derived metrics.
